Our lab is in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph (in Guelph, Ontario — close (70 km) to Toronto).

We are building a collaborative, supportive, and diverse group that is dedicated to advancing science and conservation solutions alongside justice and equity. Lab members can join existing research projects or design their own, grounded in ecological or evolutionary theory, using experiments or data synthesis. 

Undergraduate student opportunities

We are recruiting MSc and PhD students for 2024 (see job ads here — note deadline extended beyond Nov 30 — I will still consider applications past Nov 30!). Positions are fully funded with a minimum stipend of $30,000-32,000. If you are interested in joining the lab, please fill out this form. 2) The Bernhardt Lab is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to join the Bernhardt Lab and the Centre for Ecosystem Management at the University of Guelph. The Postdoc will join a cohort of postdoctoral fellows; salary is $70k/ year for 2 years + $5k in travel + benefits.
